Covid-19 in Bulgaria: In past day, 139 deaths, 1998 new cases registered
The deaths of 139 people in Bulgaria who had tested positive for Covid-19 were registered in the past day, bringing the country’s death toll linked to the disease to 19 661, according to the September 14 report by the unified information portal.
Of 24 787 tests done in the past day, 1998 – about 8.06 per cent – proved positive.
To date, 473 270 cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria, of which 38 363 are active. The number of active cases increased by 770 in the past day.
The report said that in the past day, 1089 people were registered as having recovered from the virus, bringing the total to 415 246.
There are 4587 patients with Covid-19 in hospital, a decrease of 22 in the past day, with 370 in intensive care, a decrease of three.
To date, 14 096 medical personnel have tested positive, including 31 in the past day.
The report said that in the past day, 8050 doses of vaccines against Covid-19 were administered in Bulgaria, bringing the total to 2 416 030.
So far, 1 242 231 people in Bulgaria have completed the vaccination cycle, including 5809 in the past day.
