Bulgaria names Equinox as its contestant in Eurovision 2018 in Lisbon
Bulgarian band Equinox is to represent the country at the Eurovision song contest 2018 in Portugal’s capital city Lisbon in May, public broadcaster Bulgarian National Television said on March 12.
Equinox, joint project featuring five artists that was set up for the purpose of competing in this year’s Eurovision contest, includes Bulgarian singers Zhana Bergendorff, Georgi “JJ” Simeonov, Vlado Mihailov of Bulgarian band Slang, America’s Got Talent semi-finalist Johnny Manuel and songwriter Trey Campbell.
Equinox will compete on behalf of Bulgaria in the first semi-final of the 2017 Eurovision song contest, which starts at 10pm on May 8.
Bulgaria’s song, which debuted on March 12, is called Bones and can be seen on the Eurovision official channel on YouTube and on eurovision.tv.
