Ruling party leads in Georgia’s parliamentary elections
The ruling Georgian Dream party was leading in Saturday’s parliamentary elections, according to preliminary results from two rival exit polls, commissioned by pro-government and pro-opposition TV stations in Tbilisi.
Although with significantly different margins, the poll conducted by international market researcher Kantar Public put Georgian Dream on pace to receive 53.8 percent of the vote. A poll by international market researcher GfK forecast 39.9 percent for the ruling party.
