Bulgaria to test Civil Defence siren system at 1pm on October 3
Sirens will sound on October 3 at 1pm in 11 large cities in Bulgaria in a test of the Civil Defence system, Bulgaria’s Interior Ministry said.
The siren system will be activated in Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna, Bourgas, Kurdzhali, Montana, Pazardzhik, Pleven, Rousse, Smolyan Vratsa and in towns and villages in a 30km radius around Kozloduy nuclear power station.
The sirens will be accompanied by voice announcements as part of the test, the ministry said.
