Bulgaria’s Bourgas Airport to close from end of October to end of December

Bulgaria’s Bourgas Airport on the Black Sea coast will be closed to flights from October 31 to December 30 2016 as a large investment project is carried out, requiring runway closure, the airport said.

Airlines operating to Bourgas Airport had been informed, the airport said.

The investment project involves work on taxiing lanes and upgrades to the lighting system.

This past summer, Bourgas Airport handled flights to nearly 50 destinations in 20 countries.

Most frequent destinations in the schedule were the regular air routes to Sofia, Moscow, St. Petersburg, London, Prague, Minsk, Warsaw, Brno and Bratislava. Bourgas Airport handled daily flights in the summer to all these routes.
