Poll finds views of Bulgarian business climate unchanged in September 2016
A regular poll by Bulgaria’s National Statistical Institute (NSI) has found views of the country’s business climate unchanged in September 2016, compared with the previous month.
The finding comes a month after an NSI survey found opinions of the business climate in August largely unchanged from July. In 2016, the NSI surveys found improvements in business sentiment in Bulgaria in January, February and March, a drop in April, and gains in May and June, followed by a drop in July.
The NSI said that in September 2016, there was an improvement of the view of the business climate in industry, construction and the retail trade, while it was down in the service sector.
The industry indicator was up by a percentage point, compared with August, due to the more favourable industrial entrepreneurs’ expectations about the business situation of the enterprises over the next six months.
