Macedonia: Protests continue, activists questioned by police

Protests are continuing in the Republic of Macedonia, supported by the opposition, against the decision of president Gjorge Ivanov to grant amnesty for politicians, and against the current government.

Protesters said that there is no justice and peace in the country unless the current government leaves.

Renata Jajoska of the Youth Forum of SDMM said that young people are leaving the country because of the lack of stability and perspectives.

“This government has spent millions of euro for projects of the past. The gate built near parliament had a cost of 10 million euro. Imagine what a campus could be built with this money,” Jajoska said.
