Disruptions expected due to general strike on February 4 in Greece
Almost all unions in Greece are to participate in the general strike against the social security bill – and the farmers, who are also to protest against the tax bill, are planning to drive their tractors to Athens and block the capital of the country too.
Thursday February 4 will be a day that Greeks would not choose to go anywhere… except to get to the demonstrations that are organized in the central squares of their cities.
Public transport will be a problem, since in the general strike are participating employees and workers of trolley buses, train, the metro and trams –buses will run probably only for 12 hours. There will also be difficulty in getting to the airport.
