Dozens of migrants stopped at Romania’s border with Serbia
Romanian border police caught a group of 60 migrants who were trying to enter the country illegaly from Serbia on January 15.
The migrants, all male, were spotted by infrared cameras at about 1.45am, shortly after crossing the border from Serbia, on foot. Several patrols intervened immediately and escorted them to the Jimbolia border police precinct for check-up and fingerprinting. Fist investigations showed that all the migrants were men aged 20 to 40 who came from Pakistan, Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia and Morocco.
