Bansko named Bulgaria’s best ski resort at 2015 World Ski Awards
Bansko was voted Bulgaria’s best ski resort for the third consecutive year at the World Ski Awards, conferred on November 21 2015, according to a media statement by organisers of the competition.
The resort beat the other entries, Pamporovo, Borovets and Vitosha Ski.
Launched in 2013, World Ski Awards aim is to drive up standards within the ski industry by rewarding the organisations that are leaders in their field, according to the organisers.
Votes are cast by professionals working within the ski industry – senior executives, travel buyers, tour operators, agents and media – and by the public (ski tourism consumers).
Host Kitzbühel took the title of World’s Leading Ski Resort, while The Vale Niseko was recognised as the World’s Best Ski Boutique Hotel and Sunweb took the title of World’s Best Ski Tourism Operator.
