Malta wins Junior Eurovision 2015 song contest hosted in Sofia

Malta won the 2015 Junior Eurovision song contest, with 13-year-old Destiny Chukunyere voted into top spot with her song “Not My Soul”.

Hosted by Bulgaria at the Arena Armeec stadium in capital city Sofia, the song contest saw entries from 17 countries.

Voted into second spot was Armenia with MIKA’s number “Love” and in third place was Slovenia’s Lina Kuduzović with her song “Prva ljubezen”.

According to junioreurovision.tv, Malta’s victory is the country’s second in Junior Eurovision in only three years, and Malta’s win with 185 points is the highest point total in Junior Eurovision Song Contest history, beating the high-water mark set by Spain’s María Isabel in 2004.
