Conservative PiS wins parliamentary elections in Poland
The conservative, euroskeptic party Law and Justice (PiS) has won the country’s parliamentary election with 39.1 per cent of the vote, the result which means 242 seats in 460-seat parliament and opens way to form a single party government, an exit poll by Ipsos shows.
According to the poll Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz’s centrist Civic Platform (PO) won 23.4 per cent of the vote to finish second (133 seats).
