Polish president criticises government’s stand on EU refugee decision
Polish President Andrzej Duda Thursday, during a meeting with Interior Minister Teresa Piotrowska, expressed his reservations about Poland’s voting for the recent refugee quotas agreement reached by the EU.
On Tuesday the EU interior ministers agreed to relocate 66 000 of a total 120 000 refugees currently in Italy and Greece to other EU countries. Under the plan Poland will accept some 5000 people on top of 2000 it agreed to admit earlier.
