Bulgaria appoints honorary consul in US state of Georgia
Bulgaria’s cabinet on January 21 approved the appointment of James Rigsby as honorary consul in Georgia in the United States, headquartered in the city of Augusta.
A cabinet statement said that Rigsby, a graduate in banking, had a career that included management positions in various banking institutions in Georgia, among them at the department of banking and finance of the state of Georgia.
He had an active role in support of local support, in particular golf.
“The social standing of James Rigsby and his contacts at local level are indicative of his ability to contribute to the development of bilateral relations between Bulgaria and the US,” the statement said.
