What’s On: ‘Hit The Kinks’ international snowboarding competition in Sofia on December 20
International snowboarding competition “Hit The Kinks” will be held in Bulgaria’s capital city Sofia outside Vassil Levski National Stadium on December 20 2014.
For competitors, the slopes will be made possible by bringing in several tons of snow directly from the mountains.
“Shredders from the country and abroad will battle it out on the new course, which includes lots of urban elements, for the cash prizes of 1000 euro,” the organisers said.
The winner will get 500 euro, second place 300 euro and third place 200 euro.
Registration is from 10am to 1pm on December 20. Participants must be at least 14 years old, although those under 14 may participate if they have written consent from a parent.
Riders must have valid accident insurance and a signed indemnity. Wearing a safety helmet is mandatory.
The programme: 1pm to 3pm, practice; 3pm to 5pm, qualifications/jam session; 5pm to 7pm, final/top 15 riders/unlimited runs. The awards ceremony will be at 7.30pm.
