102 arrests in Sofia, 87 schools checked, in operation against illegal drug possession and distribution
A total of 102 people were arrested and 87 schools checked in Bulgaria’s capital city Sofia in a joint operation by prosecutors and police against illegal drug possession and distribution.
The combined operation was carried out from November 1 to 11, Hristo Dinev of the Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office said on November 12.
The operation was targeted against crimes related to drugs and the involvement of children in these crimes, he said.
The number of schools checked added up to almost half those in Sofia, he said.
