GULF OF NAPOULE (Aug. 14, 2014) The U.S. 6th Fleet command ship USS Mount Whitney (LCC 20) is anchored off the coast of Theoule-sur-Mer, France. Mount Whitney, homeported in Gaeta, Italy, is in Theoule-sur-Mer to participate in the commemoration of the 70th anniversary of Operation Dragoon, which led to the liberation of Southern France by Allied Forces during World War II.
