Bulgarian air force to carry out low-level training flights over Sofia from October 8 to 10
The Bulgarian air force is to carry out low-level training flights over capital city Sofia from October 8 to 10, the air force said in a statement.
The flights are in preparation for an air show on October 11 in celebration of the air force’s 102nd anniversary.
The statement said that the flights would not exceed permitted noise pollution levels.
The air show on October 11 is at Sofia Airport and begins at 1pm. The show includes displays by helicopters and fighter jets, parachute jumps and fake aerial dogfights.
Admission is free.
The air force said that security would confiscate prohibited items such as firearms, fireworks, knives, sticks and aerosols. Pets and children unaccompanied by adults would not be admitted, the statement said.
