Poland claims shortfall in Russian natural gas imports

Poland’s gas giant PGNiG said Wednesday that natural gas deliveries from the east from Russia’s Gazprom had fallen short of order, forcing a break in re-exports to gas-strapped Ukraine.

PGNiG has observed reduced natural gas supplies in the framework of the existing Yamal contract with Gazprom on entry points on the border with Ukraine and Belarus, the firm said in a press statement.

Reductions were noted at entry points in Drozdowicze (Ukraine), Kondratki (Belarus) and Wysokoje (Belarus), the statement read.
