What’s On: International Women’s Club charity bazaar in Sofia on December 1

The 19th annual International Women’s Club charity bazaar is being held at the Inter Expo Center in Bulgaria’s capital city Sofia on December 1 2013.

The bazaar opens at 10.30am, offering visitors a day filled with various temptations (food, drinks, toys, gifts , souvenirs, jewellery, cosmetics ) and entertainment from around the world, serving as a major source of funding for the IWC’s charity projects – educational programmes, programmes for deinstitutionalisation and social integration, support for people with disabilities, women and the elderly, and children living in orphanages and homes for the mentally and physically disabled .

The annual IWC bazaar sees the active participation of the international and diplomatic community in Bulgaria, thanks to the tireless community service of hundreds of volunteers from different countries and the support of local and international businesses.

In 2012 the bazaar was visited by more than 8000 people, and more than 325 000 leva was raised, making it the most successful of all.

The Charity Bazaar in 2013 will have 61 stands, representing various countries and institutions.

Throughout the day on stage in Hall 4 there will be music, dancing and performances featuring artists from different countries.

Admission on the day costs three leva, with children up to 12 years admitted free. Tickets are on sale in advance at Art Point Sofia, Mall of Sofia, ground floor.
