UN envoy presents ‘concrete proposals’ in Macedonia name dispute
UN special envoy Matthew Nimetz says he has presented concrete proposals for finding a compromise on the Macedonia name issue. Nimetz presented his proposals to both Skopje and Athens during a two-day round of negotiations held in New York.
“We have discussed on concrete proposals and I expect both parties to present these proposals to their respective governments,” Nimetz said at a joint news conference with Macedonian mediator Zoran Jolevski and Greek negotiator Adamantios Vasilakis.
