Bulgarian honours for outgoing ambassadors

Several outgoing ambassadors to Bulgaria received Bulgarian honours on April 8 and 9. Bulgarian President Rossen Plevneliev conferred the country’s highest honour, Stara Planina first class, on Lebanese ambassador Micheline Abi Samra, who leaves Bulgaria after nine years.

Plevneliev also conferred the Madara Horseman first class on Egyptian ambassador Olfat Farah.

Separately, Iraqi ambassador Saad Mohammed Ridha was awarded the Foreign Ministry’s Golden Laurel for his efforts to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
