Bulgarian criminal Georgiev extradited from UK to serve sentence
Bulgarian national Tihomir “The Boxer” Georgiev was extradited from the United Kingdom to Bulgaria, arriving on January 12 2013, the Interior Ministry in Sofia said.
Georgiev (44) was arrested in London on January 23 2012. A British court ruled that he should be handed over the Bulgaria.
Two European arrest warrants had been issued for Georgiev at the request of the Sofia District Prosecutor’s Office and the Supreme Prosecutor Office of Cassation in connection with a 17-year jail sentence.
Georgiev was convicted of murder, participation in an armed organised crime group involved in illegal drug distribution, robberies, physical violence and intimidation.
