Bulgarian lottery jackpot payout creates five new millionaires
The jackpot in Bulgaria’s six of 49 game in the state lottery fell on July 8 2012, after having built up to more than six million leva (about three million euro), and created five new millionaires.
Each of the winners, three in Bulgaria’s capital city Sofia, one in the town of Botevgrad and one in the village of Yonkovo in the Razgrad region, will get a sum of just more than 1.25 million leva.
The jackpot was one of the three largest in the history of Bulgaria’s state lottery. The highest-ever payout was in February 2011, when the jackpot reached seven million leva.
