Another Brit falls from balcony at Bulgarian Black Sea resort

A 21-year-old British tourist fell from the balcony of his hotel in the Bulgarian Black Sea resort of Sunny Beach in the latest incident of this kind this summer, local media said on July 4 2012.
The man was treated in hospital for injuries to his spine and limbs but his condition was not life-threatening, doctors said.
The Brit had been in Bulgaria for three days and was staying in a third-floor room at a hotel in the popular resort.
The man reportedly told police that the incident, which took place just before 2am, was the result of trying to jump over the railing to the adjoining room to ask for a light for his cigarette.
The Sofia Globe reported on June 29 2012 that in less than a month, four foreign tourists had fallen from their hotel rooms, one to his death.
Police say that such falls from balconies are hardly unique to this summer of 2012. But what is alarming is that the number of cases are on the rise, local law enforcement authorities say.
