Vitosha cleanup this weekend
The directorate of Vitosha nature park has organised a cleanup of the park to be held on June 9 2012.
It is part of national nature parks day, which will be marked by cleanups and repairs of the infrastructure in all 11 nature parks in Bulgaria.
The directorate is providing refuse bags, gloves, tools and materials. The most hard-working volunteers will get prizes.
Those who are willing to participate should meet up at 10am either at the Dendrarium area, the centre of the village of Marchaevo or the parking area at Dragalevski monastery.
You can get there by your own car or by public transport. The Dendrarium can be reached by the No. 10 shuttle bus from Ruski Pametnik or on foot up the path from the last stop of tram line 5 in Knyazhevo. Marchaevo can be reached by bus line 59, also from the last stop of tram line 5 in Knyazhevo. Bus line 66 from Hladilnika district goes straight to the parking of the Dragalevski monastery. An alternative way is a 30-minute walk from the centre of Dragalevtsi, where you can get by bus lines 93 and 98, again from Hladilnika.
