Bulgaria’s exports in January – February 2026 down 0.6%, imports up 4% y/y

In January – February 2026, the total value of all the goods exported from Bulgaria amounted to 6 874.1 million euro, 0.6 per cent less than in January – February 2025, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said on April 14, citing preliminary data.

In February 2026, the total exports of goods added up to 3 547.1 million euro, an increase of 0.1 per cent compared with February 2025, the NSI said.

The total value of all the goods imported into Bulgaria in January – February 2026 amounted to 8 730.8 million euro (at CIF prices), 4.0 per cent more than in January – February 2025.

In February 2026, the total imports of goods increased by 8.2 per cent compared with February 2025, adding up to 4 357.8 million euro.

Bulgaria’s total foreign trade balance (exports FOB – imports CIF) was negative in  January – February 2026, amounting to 1 856.7 million euro.

In February 2026, the total foreign trade balance (exports FOB – import CIF) was also negative, adding up to 810.7 million euro, the NSI said.
