Bulgaria’s exports in 2025 down 3.2%, imports up 6.1% y/y
In 2025, the total value of all the goods exported from Bulgaria amounted to 83 894.5 million leva, 3.2 per cent less than in 2024, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said on February 10.
In December 2025, the total exports of goods added up to 6 736.4 million leva, an increase of 2.5 per cent compared with December 2024, the NSI said.
The total value of all the goods imported into the country in 2025 amounted to 105 605.1 million leva (at CIF prices), 6.1 per cent more than in 2024.
In December 2025, the total imports of goods increased by 17.3 per cent compared with December 2024, adding up to 9 645.5 million leva.
Bulgaria’s total foreign trade balance (exports FOB – imports CIF) was negative in 2025, amounting to 21 710.6 million leva.
In December 2025, the total foreign trade balance (exports FOB – import CIF) was also negative, adding up to 2 909.1 million leva.
