Bulgaria’s exports in January – November 2025 down 3.7%, imports up 5.1% y/y

In January – November 2025, the total value of all the goods exported from Bulgaria amounted to 77 158.1 million leva, 3.7 per cent less than in January – November 2024, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said on January 13, citing preliminary data.

In November 2025, the total exports of goods added up to 6 971.8 million leva, a decrease of 4.0 per cent compared with November 2024.

The total value of all the goods imported into Bulgaria in  January – November 2025 was 95 959.6 million leva (at CIF prices), 5.1 per cent more than in January – November 2024.

In November 2025, the total imports of goods increased by 5.2 per cent compared with November 2024, adding up to 9 513.3 million leva.

Bulgaria’s total foreign trade balance (exports FOB – imports CIF) was negative in January – November 2025, amounting to 18 801.5 million leva.

In November 2025, the total foreign trade balance (exports FOB – import CIF) was also negative, adding up to 2 541.5 million leva, the NSI said.
