Bulgaria’s January – September 2026 road death toll is 367, the Interior Ministry said on October 1, citing preliminary data.
This is 41 more than the confirmed figure for the same time last year, the ministry said.
Between January 1 and September 30 2026, there were 5163 accidents on Bulgaria’s roads in which people died or were seriously injured. The total injured is 6401.
In September 2026 alone, there were 671 road accidents in which people died or were seriously injured. The month’s road death toll was 54, with 825 injured.
