Bulgaria’s Easter long weekend weather outlook
Bulgaria’s Orthodox Easter four-day weekend from April 10 to 13 2026 will begin with cool weather with some precipitation and end with sunny weather on Monday, according to the national meteorological bureau.
On the morning of April 10, there will be light rain, while in some northern and mountainous regions, the rain will be mixed with snow. Minimum temperatures will be between minus 2° and 3° Celsius, in Sofia – around 0°.
In the mountains, it will mainly cloudy, and in many places there will be snowfall, below 1000 metres, rain. The maximum temperature at 1200 metres will be about 3°, at 2000 metres, about minus 4°.
Over the Black Sea coast, the cloudiness will be significant and in many places there will be rain. A moderate northeasterly wind will blow. Maximum temperatures will be 10°-13°.
On Saturday, over most of the country, cloudiness will remain significant and still in some places, mainly in the southwestern and mountainous regions, there will be short-term rain showers, and in the mountains above 1500 metres, snow. The wind will weaken and will turn to the southeast.
It will remain cool with minimum temperatures between minus 1° and 4°, and maximums between 12° and 17°.
Sunny weather will prevail on Sunday and Monday. On Sunday, there will be significant increases in cloudiness over the eastern and mountainous regions, but only in some places will there be light rain. The wind will strengthen from the southeast. Daytime temperatures will increase and on Monday the maximums will be between 16° and 21°.
