Bulgaria’s exports in January – October 2025 down 3.7%, imports up 5.1% y/y
In January – October 2025, the total value of all the goods exported from Bulgaria amounted to 70 186.3 million leva, 3.7 per cent less than in January – October 2024, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said on December 12, citing preliminary data.
In October 2025, Bulgaria’s total exports of goods added up to 7769.5 million leva, an increase of 0.6 per cent compared with October 2024, the NSI said.
The total value of all the goods imported into Bulgaria January – October 2025 was 86 446.3 million leva (at CIF prices), 5.1 per cent more than in January – October 2024.
In October 2025, the total imports of goods increased by 7.1 per cent compared with October 2024, adding up to 10 136.0 million leva.
Bulgaria’s total foreign trade balance (exports FOB – imports CIF) was negative in January – October 2025, amounting to 16 260.0 million leva.
In October 2025, the total foreign trade balance (exports FOB – import CIF) was also negative, adding up to 2366.5 million leva, the NSI said.
