Meteorological bureau: Bulgaria’s November 2025 among the warmest in past 15 years
Bulgaria’s November 2025 was warmer than November 2024 and was among the warmest in the past 15 years, the national meteorological bureau said in a regular monthly report.
|Up to November 28, the average monthly temperatures were between 7.5 and 14 degrees Celsius, deviating from the monthly norm by between plus 1.5 and 4.5 degrees.
The highest measured temperature was 25.9 degrees on November 2 in Veliko Turnovo. The lowest minimum temperature at a weather station in a settlement was minus 4.4 degrees on November 25 in Chepelare, and the lowest temperature measured on a mountain peak was minus 12.0 degrees on Musala Peak, also on November 25.
In Sofia, the highest measured temperature was 21.8 degrees on November 1, and the lowest, minus 0.6 degrees on November 24.
Monthly precipitation amounts were around and above the climatic norm, the bureau said.
November 2025 saw more precipitation than November 2024, but less than November 2023.
The largest amount of rain measured in a 24-hour period was 75mm in Sandanski on November 22.
In Sofia, the monthly amount of precipitation was 63mm, which is 165 per cent of the norm, and the maximum 24-hour precipitation was 18 mm of rain on November 19.
During the periods November 6–8, 10–11, 19–22 and 27–28, as a result of precipitation, increases in river levels were registered throughout the country.
