Eurostat: Unemployment in Bulgaria in January 2025 was 3.9%
Unemployment in Bulgaria in January 2025 was 3.9 per cent, down from four per cent in December 2024 and from 4.6 per cent in January 2024, European Union statistics agency Eurostat said on March 4, citing seasonally-adjusted figures.
The EU unemployment rate was 5.8 per cent in January 2025, also stable compared with December 2024 and down from 6.1 per cent in January 2024.
In January 2025, the euro area seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate was 6.2 per cent, stable compared with December 2024 and down from 6.5 per cent in January 2024.
In Bulgaria, youth unemployment in January 2025 was 10.1 per cent, up from 9.6 per cent in December 2024 but down from 15.4 per cent in January 2024.
In January 2025, the youth unemployment rate was 14.6 per cent in the EU, stable compared with December 2024, and 14.1 per cent in the euro area, down from 14.2 per cent in the previous month.
