Bulgaria’s exports in January – October 2024 down 3.1%, imports up 0.2% y/y

In January – October 2024, the total value of all the goods exported from Bulgaria amounted to 70 946.7 million leva, which is 3.1 per cent less than in January – October 2023, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said on December 12, citing preliminary figures.

In October 2024 the total exports of goods added up to 7 443.3 million leva, a decrease of 3.6 per cent compared with October 2023, the NSI said.

The total value of all the goods imported into Bulgaria in January – October 2024 was 80 829.4 million leva (at CIF prices), 0.2 per cent more than in January – October 2023.

In October 2024, the total imports of goods increased by 7.4 per cent compared with October 2023, adding up to 9 283.5 million leva.

Bulgaria’s total foreign trade balance (exports FOB – imports CIF) was negative in January – October 2024, amounting to 9 882.7 million leva.

In October 2024 the total foreign trade balance (exports FOB – import CIF) was also negative and added up to 1 840.2 million leva, the NSI said.
