Eurostat: Unemployment in Bulgaria in September 2024 was 4%

The unemployment rate in Bulgaria in September 2024 was four per cent, unchanged from August 2024 and down from 4.4 per cent in September 2023, European Union statistics agency Eurostat said on October 31, citing seasonally-adjusted figures.

The unemployment rate in Bulgaria has been four per cent since June 2024, according to Eurostat’s figures.

The EU unemployment rate was 5.9 per cent in September 2024, also stable compared with August 2024 and down from 6.1 per cent in September 2023.

In September 2024, the euro zone seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate was 6.3 per cent, stable compared with August 2024 and down from 6.6 per cent in September 2023.

Bulgaria’s youth unemployment rate in September 2024 was 11.1 per cent, down from 11.4 per cent in August 2024 and from 13.6 per cent in September 2023, Eurostat said.

In September 2024, the youth unemployment rate was 14.8 per cent in the EU, up from 14.5 per cent in August 2024, and 14.4 per cent in the euro zone, up from 14.3 per cent in the previous month.
