S&P cuts Poland’s rating citing country’s government’s radical measures
Poland suffered a foreign-currency rating downgrade to BBB+ from A-, with outlook downgraded to negative from positive as recent measures by the government undermine independence of key institutions, Standard & Poor’s said in a report on Friday.
The agency said it is concerned about a full swath of what it sees as controversial developments since the governing party Law & Justice (PiS) came to power after late October elections.
