Earthquake of 4 on Richter scale near Bulgaria’s Kavarna on Black Sea

An earthquake of four on the Richter scale was registered on July 15 39km east of Bulgaria’s Black Sea city of Varna and 13km south of the town of Kavarna, according to preliminary data from the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre.

The quake occurred at 11.30am, at a depth of 16km, with an epicentre in the Black Sea.

Local media said that residents of Varna felt the quake, especially in higher buildings. There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
