25 Years Free Bulgaria to show poster exhibition in Sofia, around country
The 25 Years Free Bulgaria campaign, marking the quarter-century since the country’s freedom from communism, is to hold an exhibition of posters entitled ’89 Then and Now on Lovers Bridge near the National Palace of Culture in Sofia, opening on October 18 at 1pm.
The exhibition will show the 25 best entries in a national poster contest on the theme of the campaign. The contest was held by the National Art Academy in September.
Visitors will also be able to see some of the protest posters from 1989, courtesy of the Sofia municipal archives.
The exhibition will be on the bridge until October 30, and in November and December will be travelling across the country.
