Macedonia’s foreign debt in H1 2014 was 5.7 billion euro

Macedonian National Bank said on October 2 that foreign debt in the first six months of 2014 was 5.7 billion euro or 71.66 per cent of GDP.

According to the Bank, this debt has mainly increased as a result of the loans taken by the government from international financial institutions.

But, the governor of the Bank, Dimitar Bogov, says that the level of foreign debt is not worrying.
