Ukraine’s Naftogaz says it faces ‘temporary halt’ in gas supplies from Poland
Ukraine’s Naftogaz said it was informed by its Polish partner Gaz System S.A. about a “forced temporary halt of gas supplies to Ukraine” for two days. The Polish operator of the gas transit network said the emergency move came as a result of a sharp drop of gas supplies from Russia.
“Naftogaz is discussing the situation with the Polish operators and suppliers of gas to clear up the character of the problem,” the company said in a statement. “Companies are holding consultations about the schedule for renewal of supplies and the mechanism for prompt response for such risks in the future.”
