Remembrance Day Service to be held in Sofia on November 10
The annual Service of Remembrance will take place on November 10 2013 at Sofia Central Cemetery, the British embassy in the Bulgarian capital city has announced.
The gathering commemorates those who have died as a result of war. The service will start promptly at 10.50am at the British Military Cemetery to be followed by services at the French, German and Italian military cemeteries.
A Service of Remembrance will also be held in Plovdiv on November 11 at 11am at the British Military Cemetery in Plovdiv Cemetery.
Poppies are on sale at the British embassy, British Council and Anglo American School in Sofia. All donations go to the Royal British Legion to help ex-servicemen.
