Walesa calls for Polish-German unity
The Nobel Peace Prize winner, legendary founder of Solidarity union and former Polish president Lech Walesa said that it is necessary to expand economic structures and create one state from Poland and Germany in Europe, despite the difficult wartime history between the two countries, as the world needed new ways of organizing itself.
He added that institutions such as the United Nations, NATO and the Council of Europe were “ideas from a past era” and that the world is “badly organized.”
