What’s On: Hilton Sofia hosting Oktoberfest in co-operation with German embassy
The Hilton Sofia, under the patronage of the Germany embassy and in co-operation with DB Events, is holding Oktoberfest on September 21 2013.
“Enjoy the ambiance of the Beer Cellar in Munich at Hilton Sofia – with Bavarian beer, live music and raffle,” the Hilton said.
Proceedings start with the “Kids Oktoberfest” 5pm. German ambassador Matthias Höpfner will officially open the event at 7pm.
The Hotel’s German executive chef Andre Tokev will be preparing specialities including Bavarian sausages, Potato salad, Obatzda and delicious Apple Strudel.
Tickets cost 18 leva a person and the price includes one Mass and one Brezel. For the Kids Oktoberfest, the price of admission is six leva (up to 12 years) and this includes one soft drink, one Brezel and access to the Wonder Group Play area.
The following day, September 22, from 11am to 4pm, the Hilton Sofia is hosting a traditional Frühschoppen in the Seasons Restaurant & Garden.
This means a special brunch offering Weisswurst, Roast chicken, Sauerkraut, Bretzels and many other Bavarian temptations. The price person, of 25 leva a person, includes a welcome drink and buffet selection of Bavarian specialties.
