Hilton Sofia hosting ‘Around the World in a Day’ charity event on June 9
The Hilton Sofia is hosting a charity event on June 9 2013 in aid of the Cedar Foundation as part of the Hilton hotels in Europe “Around the World in a Day” initiative.
The aim of the overall project among the hotels in Europe is to cover the circumference of the earth, 40 075.16km, twice in just one day.
The Cedar Foundation gives disadvantaged people in Bulgaria a better quality of care, a better quality of life. The Cedar Foundation assists the process of replacing big, old-style, inefficient institutions for children and young adults with intellectual and physical disabilities with efficient contemporary services for alternative care in the community.
The Hilton Sofia is asking teams of participants to complete kilometres in South Park. This can be done in many ways, through bicycle rides, running or simply walking the three km marked course.

To raise further funds for the charity event, there will be a participation fee of 12 leva an adult, which includes a special Around the World in a Day t-shirt, raffle ticket, drinks and snacks during the run in the park. For children, the participation fee is six leva, which includes access to all entertainment facilities during the event.
