Polish government to pump about 119M euro into shale gas R&D projects
The National Centre for Research and Development (NCBiR) and the Industry Development Agency (ARP) announced Wednesday they have signed a deal on setting up a research program on shale gas, to be financed in equal parts by the government and companies.
Under the agreement, the government will provide PLN 500 million (about 118.9 million euro) to finance R&D projects covering shale gas exploration technology and expects interested companies to put the same amount on the table. Each of the state institutions will provide PLN 250 million.
