Eurostat: Unemployment in Bulgaria in June 2024 was 4.5%

Unemployment in Bulgaria in June 2024 was 4.5 per cent, the same figure as in May 2024 and in June 2023, European Union statistics agency Eurostat said on August 1, citing seasonally-adjusted figures.

Across the EU, unemployment in June 2024 was six per cent, the same figure as in May 2024 and June 2023, Eurostat said.

In the euro zone, unemployment in June this year was 6.5 per cent, up from 6.4 per cent in May 2024 and the same figure as the 6.5 per cent registered in June 2023.

In Bulgaria, youth unemployment in June 2024 was 14 per cent, unchanged from May 2024 and up from 12.7 per cent in June 2023.

Youth unemployment in the EU averaged 14.4 per cent in June this year, down from 14.5 per cent in May 2024 and June 2023.

In the euro zone, youth unemployment in June 2024 was 14.1 per cent, down from 14.2 per cent in May 2024 and June 2023, Eurostat said.
