A Code Yellow weather warning was in place for all of Bulgaria on Saturday, because of low temperatures. In the past three weeks, since the new year started, there have been similar warnings on most days, for strong winds, excessive snow fall and low temperatures.

In some Bulgarian regions, it is chilly indeed, this Saturday morning. Morning temperatures in Stara Zagora and Yambol are supposedly -15 and -14 degrees Centigrade, respectively. And there are more regions in which temperatures are dangerously low around sunrise: Veliko Tarnovo -15, Shumen -13, Dobrich -12. The coldest region this morning is Vidin, with -16 degrees Centigrade.

During daytime, forecasters expect -1 to +4 degrees across the country. It will be mostly sunny. Not a single snowflake will fall, according to the experts. At this stage they believe the partially extreme cold will last until the end of the month.
