Madame Bulgaria is one of “us”, an expat from France, who has an excellent blog. She just interviewed Maxime, a tourist of a special kind, a brilliant illustrator, writer and musician from Nantes. She added some excellent and partially extremely funny illustrations Maxime drew during his Sofia stay, including the one above. In one of the other ones, he describes the pavements in Sofia very accurately.

In the interview, Maxime, who seems to be a comedian too, says he likes to elaborate on the “bad” things which happen to him, since they are more entertaining. He is probably right.

Maxime uploaded lots of illustrations, also about Bulgaria, on his own blog, which is definitely worth some visits too. E.g. he deals with the Bulgarian custom of head-nodding and shaking in one of the illustrations there.

Merci beaucoup, Madame Bulgaria et Maxime! Voilà ce que nous aimons!

I doubt it. But you would have to talk to them.
