New York Times: Reporter Impressed By “Topless Beach” in Burgas

New York Times reporter Lucas Peterson recently hit Bulgarian soil for the first time. The good news is: He was impressed. After some issues, which arose when he tried to drive his stick-shift rental car, he fell in love with this country.

He loved Shopska Salata and mussels, telling us how cheap they were. After a trip to Haskovo, he came to Burgas, which quickly transmuted from a “small city” to “big”. That was when he noticed he needed a bike to explore the Black Sea marvel.

His enthusiasm increased to its maximum level, when he hit Burgas Beach, right next to the port. It wasn’t so much the sand or the water, but rather all those bikini tops, lying around in the sand of this “topless beach”, which seem to have made his day.

Yes, he loved it down here. His New York Times article says it all.
